Time to update my review! Manager Darryl Hills promised if I would come back & give them another chance, he'd make it worth my while & man he wasn't kidding!!! Everything was "PHENOMINAL", as you would expect from Ruth's Chris! I got the 16 oz. ribeye, which was cooked to perfection, barbecue shrimp, lobster bisque, wedge salad & fries, all of which were "GREAT!" The complimentary sourdough bread was good also. Service was "AWESOME!" Just wish I could remember our waiters name? Thanks Ruth's Chris & a special THANKS to Darryl Hills & our waiter for an " OUTSTANDING" meal!!!

Food was excellent. Waitstaff was on point (Bart is witty and attentive) M.O.D. kept the right level of interaction. When I arrived I was greeted by name (Open Table reservation for the win) and immediately shown to my table. I am vet but Bart walked though the intricacies of what was available to day and when I was torn between two cuts he excused him self and came back with a Chef's recommendation. My Ribeye was awesome and the and the Sweet Potatoes are unmatched. The only issue that I had with my experience was a very rowdy group that ran rough shot through the restaurants private room out into the main dinning area and eventually into the bar. Aside from this one issue the experience was exactly what you should expect from Ruth's Chris and it didn't disappoint.

Awesome. My steak came out sizzling...literally. Four of us went while down on a golf trip and couldn't have been happier. Food was great. Wine was great. And service was excellent. I wish I could remember the server's name...he did a great job. First time at a Ruth's Chris, hopefully not my last. Prices are high - but worth it, especially in MB area, where most of the restaurants are geared towards tourists.

We had an excellent experience here tonight. First off, Joe was our server and we couldn't have received better attention. He treated us like we were the most important guests he had all evening, and made it a truly memorable experience. The ambience and view is fantastic with the Marina in the background. The food was outstanding. This was our first trip to Ruth Chris and we were so pleased. The Cowboy Ribeye is awesome and the Creme Brûlée was exquisite. Will definitely make this a tradition.

I went to Ruth's Chris to celebrate my Mother's birthday and I had a pleasant experience. It was on par with all of the Ruth's Chris locations that I've visited previously. Our waitress was good and very well versed when it came to the menu, and the service was as expected. I ordered my NY strip medium rare, but it was quite overcooked the first time. They fixed it quickly, and without hesitation. They were very apologetic. Each dessert was delicious, and the waitress even brought my Mom a little something extra for dessert with a candle in it. We had a very nice time and I would not hesitate to return.

My wife and I had heard how good the food is at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse in Myrtle Beach, so we wanted to try it for ourselves. Everything was perfect! The hostess was very friendly and helpful. Our waitress, Larisa, was the best. She took great care of us, was very helpful when we had questions about the menu and took care of all our needs. The food was the best meal we have ever had. I had the pork chop and it was prepared perfectly and was delicious. My wife had the stuffed chicken and she said it was the best chicken she has ever eaten. For our sides, we had the broccoli au gratin, which was great, and the sweet potato casserole, which was fantastic. The manager, Pam, came out and talked with us and was very friendly and made us feel welcome. For dessert, we had the chocolate mousse cake and the bread pudding -- which were both amazing. Another manager, Darryl, came over to check on us. The portions were just right, the flavor of everything was delicious and the service was superb. I highly recommend that everyone eat at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse at Myrtle Beach. It is truly the best!

Let me start by saying the service was very good. The bread on the table is really outstanding. For dinner I ordered a NY Strip and my daughter ordered the same. I ordered mine medium and it came out well done. My daughter ordered her steak rare and it was not rare. I was hungry, so I decided to keep mine. That being said, when my daughter told the waitress she her steak was cooked incorrectly she immediately took the steak back and got her a new one. I was impressed by how fast the steak came back out which was within five minutes. We ordered the shoe string potatoes and the serving was very large. We didn't even put a dent in them. For dessert, my daughter ordered the creme brulee, which was very good and I had the apple tart with ice cream which was excellent but huge!! I would have given five stars if the steaks had been cooked correctly. I would dine here again.

Nice little scenery to check out while eating some amazing steak! The veal osso bucco ravioli was amazing, one of my favorite apps ever. Wife and I were both extremely pleased with our steaks, sides, waiter and desserts. The creme brûlée was decadent and the chocolate mousse cheesecake was out of this world. Would highly recommend this place to anyone.

To start off the waitress was miserable. She never cracked a smile the entire evening. We tried throughout the night to get her to lighten up. Nothing doing. Filet was fatty. Mashed potatoes were room temp. The au gratin potatoes were undercooked and crunchy. First time I've gone to a Ruth Chris and couldn't eat my dinner. I've been to Ruth Chris steakhouses all over the world. The one in Myrtle Beach was terrible. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!

Made a reservation through open table. We didn't do valet parking and parked in the lot across from the restaurant. We were seated immediately, our waiter Brendan was courteous, prompt, and friendly during our meal. The drink selections were all on an iPad that was sat on our table to browse through. After looking through the menu, we ordered a Caesar, I got the Strip and my wife got the petite filet. Both were cooked to perfection, I love that fact that the plates are 500 degrees and you can hear the sizzle of plates being delivered to nearby tables and then finally to our table. I feel in love with being able to de-glaze my plate with sections of steak I cut to pick up those flavorful bits and butter, it just enhanced my steak experience. We also ordered sauteed baby spinach and a loaded baked potato in which Brendan had the kitchen put onto two separate plates. I figured we needed the spinach to at least look like we wanted something healthy. We ordered the warm apple tart for dessert. It came with dollop of ice cream on top and it was a very sweet and pleasant way to end our meal. I highly recommend trying this restaurant. We enjoyed a wonderful evening here and then took a nice stroll across the marina at night, nice experience all around!

I have been to at least 6 Ruth's Chris Steakhouses around the country and the Myrtle Beach location definitely needs help! I ordered a petite filet medium rare and my husband ordered the ribeye medium. They both came medium well. Not sure why it is that a "steakhouse" is unable to cook a steak correctly. I had broccoli as a side - and although I do like it crisp, raw is not my favorite. The chopped salad was excellent as was the service but when I can get a superior meal at the Outback for a third of the cost, I cannot find any reason to return to Ruth's Chris. This was our second visit to this location - it's unlikely that we will return.

Even a "bad" meal would be a 4 out of 5 at these places. Usually go to the location in Troy, MI but were in Myrtle Beach on vacation and wanted to celebrate. To this day, I cannot think of any steak I've had that even comes close to the filet mignon at Ruth Chris. This location is now different. Excellent atmosphere. Excellent service. Unbelievable steak.

We were there in November 2014. Unbelievably awful... I should have had the waiter remove the lyonnaise potatoes from my table and take it off my bill. They were pre-cooked potato chunks cooked in a browning or deep fried unknown manner then they added barely cooked onions and there was absolutely no butter. Ugh. The steak was lacking flavor and I just bowed my head in shame as I didn't have the courage to argue or walk out. Even if the quality of the Myrtle Beach location was during off season or under bad management, I will still never take another chance to have my dining experience with my husband destroyed in such a manner.

Wow it was a wonderful dinner from the appetizer to the meal to the dessert it was fantastic.

I have eaten at many Ruth Chris locations and always had very good service, as we did on this occasion. The kitchen committed a major faux pas this time. A bone-in ribeye was brought out that appeared by size and quality to be from Applebees not Ruth Chris. The manager replaced the steak while acknowledging it looked wrong to him also. However, the time we had to wait for the corrected steak effectively ruined our dinner. I appreciated that mgmt removed the item from our bill, but a superb dining experience is what one expects at Ruth Chris every time and sadly this time that was not the case.

There is nothing bad to say about this place. The food, atmosphere, staff, and choices were amazing. Best steak I have ever eaten. Not to mention the appetizer, dessert, and sides. The waitstaff is amazing!! Can't wait to go back!!

The lamb will make your knees weak. Fillet mignon is hands down the best I've ever had. Salads were excellent. I've been happy with every meal I've ever had there. I've been to the Garden City, NY, Las Vegas NV and Myrtle Beach, SC restaurants, and the wait staff are very attentive, conscientious and polite in all of the restaurants. Make reservations, but this is one restaurant worth the wait, if you must. Although they accommodate children, it is not really focused towards them. Get a babysitter and enjoy!!!!!!!

Of course they are high priced but there steaks are amazing and I tried the seafood trio and it was wonderful. I wasn't crazy about the gumbo.

I'm a snob so having a part time place in myrtle is tough to find a restaurant that's a go to feel at home comfortable place to eat. Well, this Ruth Chris is it! We have tried numerous places here on several occasions and only Ruth Chris stands up to our standards. The service is the BEST! The food is exactly what you expect and order. For us we love the service. It's by far above and beyond what you would expect in a restaurant. We rarely eat at our RC in Annapolis, MD because it just doesn't live up to our standards here in myrtle. We love it. Great job RC Myrtle Beach!!!

Visited this restaurant twice during vacation. A lot of people moan and groan about the price, but I'm a firm believer that you get what you pay for. Want a steak that you chew on for half the night then go elsewhere and pay $10. Want one that will melt in your mouth and bursting with flavor? Then visit this restaurant. Filets were cooked perfectly just as ordered. Friendly waiter and staff. Very clean!

What else is there to say about Ruth Chris. They have their own supplier. The beef is all grain fed. I had the New York strip steak which was out of this world. My personal favorite. My girlfriend had the ribeye. Both were great. 44.00 for a steak but it was worth every penny. Nicely marbled and tender. Just melted in one's mouth. The waiter and servers were great. They gave excellent service. I was allowed to taste the wine with no problems whatsoever. Very private atmosphere. The tables were nicely separated so you were not on top of each other. We took a nice quite booth. It is right across from the Marriott Hotel and the Villas. Garlic mashed potatoes, creamed spinach. Both excellent. And the bread. The bread. I could not eat dessert. The managers made several stops at the table to make sure service was good and the food was good too. Highly recommend.

much improved...better service with friendlier servers....although that is often the case up and down the beach during the off and shoulder seasons ! Last couple of times we have eaten here have been excellent...everything superb and perfectly cooked...salads are now very fresh.... nice wines....nice folks !

I really enjoyed myself. I had the filet, and loved the way my plate sizzled the entire time i was eating. It put a yummy char on my filet. This place is awesome.

Overall was a great evening. Happy hour allows you to try an expensive steakhouse on the cheap. Atmosphere - really clean, not stuffy. Food - steak skewers were a bit cold, but delicious and tender. Kobe sliders were unbelievable. $7 each. Can't beat that. Drink - good wine for $5

They must have the best mixologist on the beach. I always try a new cocktail and haven't been disappointed yet. I have tried other entrees but I always love the steak. It's a steakhouse... They get it right. I can't wait to go back.

Had two lovely evenings/dinners. Sat at the bar. Food excellent. All was cooked to perfection. My husband had steak & fish. Moi, had Salad & soup each evening..... wonderful. Delivered perfectly cooked, hot, fresh with each course served with ample timing. Chris, Adam & rest of the bar staff, WONDERFUL FRIENDLY barstaff, made all the difference to our evenings. The ONLY place to dine in M.B.

Seated at a comfortable table for four we shared the calamari and barbecue shrimp appetizers. The shrimp sauce stood out as we continuously dipped our bread. Everyone was happy with their steaks - from the Filet (very satisfying) to the New York Strip and Rib Eye. My wife ordered Shrimp & Grits which was plentiful yet a bit below expectations. The Onion Rings - prehistoric in size - was enjoyed by all but the Mashed Potatoes came out warm without "a hint of garlic" as the menu suggests. With no room for desserts we politely declined. The service was impeccable. Charley - our waiter (and his associates) - could not have been more polite and attentive. The dining room itself was equally comfortable, spacious - perfect for a steakhouse.

After dining at several of myrtle beach's "best" steak houses, a clear winner emerged - Ruth's Chris stole the show. It's no fun yelping about a chain restaurant, but the fact is, the steaks are so consistently good, the other steakhouse are simply outgunned. The steaks were expertly prepared and came on a sizzling hot plate, in clarified butter. The simple seasoning and butter enhances the robust flavor their prime beef. Our party of 3 all had the filet, and we were unanimous in agreement - these steaks were better than NY Prime, hands down. Sides were also notable, and decent sized. We also indulged in 3 separate desserts, which really put our meal over the top. The flourless chocolate expresso cake was our least favorite, if you can call that a bad thing. It was so dense and rich... Like a black hole, I swear it had its own gravitational pull. The creme brulee was quite good as well, but the chocolate mouse cheesecake is something I'll never forget. With 3 beers ($4.75 ea), bowl of gumbo, 3 large filets, 3 sides, and 3 desserts, the damage was $240 with tip, which is pricey for myrtle beach. Just remember though, you get what you pay for here. FYI- Free valet parking at restaurant. Also, you should call ahead for a reservation, even on a slow night. We showed up on a Wednesday afternoon w/o a reservation, hardly anyone in the parking lot or the restaurant, and the hostess was acting like she couldn't serve us at all. She was able to miraculously seat us right away though (imagine that) and service was still fast. The restaurant never did fill more then half the tables... Maybe they were just short staffed. Overlooking that, 5 stars all the way.

Phenomenal as always!!! I've been to multiple RC locations all over the country... and this one stood out! First of all they were extremely patient with our orders, which I appreciated! Secondly, we were outside when our food arrived and the manager himself, stepped outside to let us know! How cool is that?!?! Food was unbelievable... I mean... TO-DIE-FOR!!! But one of my companions, had her drink made incorrectly... they were extremely apologetic/sincere about all of it & didn't even hesitate to comp it off the bill - now THAT'S stellar service right there! overall... best RC visit I've had, will DEFINATELY be back! Thanks!

As always, had a great meal. We stopped at the bar prior to our dinner reservations and we're pleased with the selection and prices of the happy hour menu. They do not offer the steak sandwich on the happy hour menu that they do at other Ruth ' s Chris but they still had a nice variety. Our steaks and service were superb.

Located at the Marina at Grande Dunes, Ruth Chris fits right into the high end atmosphere Grande Dunes works to create. The staff was very good. The hostess used our name once I told them we had a reservation and who were were, said Happy Birthday to my husband, etc. The waitress was great, prompt, but not overbearing. I was very pleased with the wine selections. I had a glass of the Veuve Cliqout. Something that I don't see by the glass very often. It was pricey! $22 for the glass, but so worth it. 3 of us had the filet, and my Dad had the Rib eye. All of the steaks were cooked perfectly. My only complaint about the steaks was that they were heavy handed with the pepper on them. I have terrible heartburn and had to cut the outside of my entire steak off to avoid it. I do feel like it should have been stated in the menu that it would practically be Au poivre. They actually have that as an add on, and maybe they should take it off. I also had a side of Bearnaise sauce, which sadly was too tart. When we dined at Ruth Chris in Columbia the Bearnaise was perfect. So here it was a waste of $2.50. We had the sauteed spinach, shoestring fries, sweet potatoes and garlic mashed potatoes as sides. The fries and sweet potatoes were out of this world. For desserts we had the creme brulee, the cheesecake, and the chocolate cake. I think that the creme brulee was the best of the 3. I felt like the cheesecake left something to be desired. While Ruth Chris was good, there are other places I would like to try before I would go here again.

My wife and I were taken here Saturday. The meal was very good. The steaks were cooked to our liking. They were seasoned well. The sides were tasty. I recommend giving it a try. The music was too loud for us. We could not carry on a conversation. That was our only complaint

Food was great and service to match. We weren't expecting to come here and were dressed a bit too casual but they welcomed us nonetheless. Kids made a mess but they cleaned it with a smile on their face. This was absolutely the best cooked steak I've ever had. Kudos to the staff and the chef!

I find this Ruth's Chris comparable to other Ruth's Chris restaurants I have been to. The food is consistently great and what's not to like about your steak arriving on a sizzling plate of butter?! The only complaint I have is the service at the bar is very poor, every time I there I am completely ignored. When it's warm sit out on the back patio, it's a great view of the ICW! The cheesecake here is my fav!

All the past reviews on Yelp were right on the money. From to valet service at the door to the dessert it was an extraordinary dining experience. My wife and I started with the She Crab soup and we both agreed it was the best we had ever had. Our fillets were done perfectly and by serving them on the 500o plates they did not get cold. We shared a baked potato that was more than enough for both of us and my wife said her broccoli was some of the best she ever had. The evening was topped off when we were served a cheesecake cupcake with a candle and "Happy Anniversary" written in chocolate on the plate as the waiter had overheard us talking about it being our anniversary that evening. Not a cheap place to eat but certainly worth the price given the the quality of the food and service.

I am surprised to be the first to review this place. It is important to understand that the staff at Ruth Chris is not just about serving you a meal but upselling you at every step. If you know that going in, it is no big deal and you just have to pay attention to what you want and not let the "suggestions" overrun your food bill. The wait staff is extremely helpful and friendly. I had the special blue cheese stuffed steak with peppercorns on the outside. It was perfectly cooked and just amazingly tasty. The sides were ok but not spectacular. We had a drink called the Velvet Hammer which was the perfect ending. One of the people in my group had a salad that was pretty miserable but they did take it off the check once we told them.
